RajutKejut is a knitter group/community with an inclusive spirit and fluid and loose membership. They gather with a spirit of mutual cooperation to create various exciting and meaningful knitting projects for humanity. As a yarn bombing community, RajutKejut expresses itself through types of knitting in public spaces. Yarn bombing is a part of street art that uses yarn material to attract public attention for a specific purpose. Since starting to be active in 2014, the AksiRajut community has carried out various yarn bombing actions in several points in Jakarta. RajutKejut actions usually appear as a reaction to express the concern of community members towards a particular event or phenomenon. AksiRajut has been involved in various celebrations of important days in Indonesian history, participated in efforts to raise awareness regarding the vulnerable conditions of female workers in industrial relations, and created several works that respond to the conditions of public transportation in Jakarta such as bemos and trains.
